In his capacity as Partner at Avisar, Robert is passionate about guiding his team to always make an exceptional impact on those in their areas of influence.

Robert plays a pivotal role in serving our clients as their trusted advisor, focusing on business, financial and tax consulting services. Robert began his career with the professional team at Avisar in 1999, obtained his designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant in 2003, and completed the Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Tax program in 2009. He brings extensive experience in working with individuals, owner-managed businesses and international, publicly-traded organizations with their Canadian and US tax needs. Robert also specializes in research and development and exploration tax incentives (SRED and METC) and cross-border, international tax issues. Robert values an approach with Avisar’s clients that is directed towards precision, strategic analysis and pursuit of business-oriented results.

Outside of Avisar, Robert is active in the community, serving in various executive and mentorship roles. Robert received the District Governor’s Award in recognition of exceptional leadership and devoted service from Toastmasters International. He was also awarded the internationally recognized designation of Distinguished Toastmaster, a decade-long personal commitment and pursuit. He loves traveling the world, playing piano and spending quality time with family and friends.
